Can you believe how quickly January has flown by? Sadly, that is one of the things that I noticed as I have gotten older….time moves so quickly!
And for those of us that made New Years Resolutions….how are those going? Or have they just faded away?
I believe that one of the problems is we usually have a long laundry list of things we want to change or do…..and it just gets overwhelming. Once things start falling apart, we just feel defeated.
I really don’t think there is anything wrong with taking inventory of our lives, looking at those things that are working and setting up a plan to make the needed changes. But baby steps will help us not be overwhelmed and the task that had seemed so daunting….becomes “do-able”.
Placing ourselves on our own “to-do” lists is very important. How are we suppose to care for those in our lives, do all that we need to do……if we have nothing left to do it with? Far from being selfish, it is one of the most “un-selfish” acts we can do in caring for ourselves so that we can do for those that need us.
