Graceworks is finally set up to do facials. I am excited to be able to offer these services. There are several product lines that I am looking to carry. At this time I am working with Repechage and Control Correctives.
Now offering Microdermabrasion…..
What is Microdermabrasion? It is one of the easiest and most effective anti-aging treatments available. At Graceworks, I am using diamond tip microdermabrasion. It removes the uppermost layer of dead skin cells from the face, chest and hands. This gives you results you can’t achieve with a home microdermabraion kit, which is usually a scrub for the face that can be abrasive and irritating to the skin.
What Can Microdermabraision Do?
*Reduce the formation of comedones and improve mild acne
*Soften the look of superficial acne scars
*Improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles
*Smooth the skin and brighten the complexion
*Even out skin tone and fight sun damage (age spots)
*Improve tone and texture of the skin
*Helps to smooth coarsely textured skin
Microdermabrasion Can Not:
*Treat deeper acne scars (like ice pick scarring)
*Flatten hypertrophic or keloid scars
*Treat severe or cystic acne
*Completely eliminate lines and wrinkles, or treat deep wrinkles
*Tighten sagging skin
You won’t get all the benefits of microdermabrasion with just one treatment. While your skin will feel softer after the first treatment, you will need several treatments to actually see improvement. Normally the best results are seen in a series of 6 treatments, 1 every 10-14 days.
It is important to know that this takes off the outermost layer of the skin, which is also its protection–so no sunbathing afterward. Be careful with your skin for a few days after the treatment; don’t do vigorous exercise and don’t expose your skin to the sun. Wear a gentle sunscreen…even if it s a cloudy day.
Contraindications for getting a treatment:
Extremely sensitive skin, diabetes, vascular conditions like rosacea, skin inflammation, bacterial infections, lack of tactile sensation, keloid scarring, cuts and abrasions, or have gotten Botox within 72 hours. Other contraindications include: sunburn, viral infections like herpes simplex, and acne and if you are taking anti-coagulant drugs.
While I have found Microderm services starting at $100 per treatment, I will be offering this service at an introductory price of $40 per treatment. Or you can purchase a series of 6 treatments for $200, which is a savings of $40.
This service normally takes just 30-45 mins….so it is a great service to get during your lunch hour as there is no down time.
So call today to schedule your appointment!!!
Have a great week!!!
